Smashing Pumpkins: nuovo pezzo disponibile per il download, Widow Wake My Mind

Il mese scorso, gli Smashing Pumpkins hanno reso disponibile per il download il pezzo A Song for a Son, il primo di 44 pezzi del progetto denominato Teargarden by Kaleidoscope.

Oggi il gruppo rende disponibile per lo streaming o per il download un nuovo pezzo da Teargarden dal titolo Widow Make My Mind. Il pezzo è ascoltabile/scaricabile dal MySpace ufficiale del gruppo. Attenzione però: il pezzo, dopo 24 ore verrà eliminato dal MySpace e verrà trasferito sul sito ufficiale della band (lo trovate comunque alla fine del post). Dopo Widow Make My Mind mancano quindi "solo" 42 pezzi per completare il progetto Teargarden by Kaleidoscope.

Inoltre, come riporta la rivista People, Billy Corgan, frontman della band, sta lavorando in studio con la sua presunta nuova fidanzata, la pop star Jessica Simpson. Le foto dei due in studio sono disponibili sul Twitter della Simpson.

Gli Swans si riformano e progettano un nuovo disco (MP3 + video)

Sul MySpace ufficiale di Michael Gira, leader indiscusso degli Swans, band noise rock di New York in auge principalmente nei primi anni '80, è apparso un post dal titolo "COMING SOON, NEW SWANS ALBUM AND TOUR(S).", che sta a significare che tra non molto avremo un nuovo album del gruppo e nuovo/i tour.

Le novità più recenti sono che lo stesso Gira ha pubblicato sul suddetto MySpace un demo acustico dal titolo Jim. Il demo è solo una versione grezza di uno dei pezzi che probabilmente faranno parte dell'album. Ascolta/scarica il pezzo in formato MP3: M. Gira/Swans - "Jim" (MP3).

Il post spiega che è stato realizzato un CD con diversi pezzi in versione acustica, oltre ad un DVD di Michael Gira, che saranno presto in vendita sotto il titolo I Am Not Insane (CD/DVD). Il CD/DVD sarà in edizione limitata di 1000 pezzi che sarà venduta per raccogliere fondi per la registrazione dell'album. Seguite l'evoluzione direttamente sul blog MySpace di Michael Gira oppure sul sito della Young God Records per maggiori dettagli.

Nuovo album di remix e nuovo video per i Bloc Party

I Bloc Party pubblicheranno un album di remix intitolato Intimacy Remixed contenente i pezzi del precedente album del 2008, Intimacy, remixati da vari DJ ed artisti, tra i quali i Mogwai, No Age e Filthy Dukes. L'album sarà pubblicato l'11 maggio, preceduto dal singolo Signs il 27 aprile, remixato da Armand Van Helden. Di seguito la tracklist di Intimacy Remixed (tra parentesi i remixer).
